Today's Point: You have the power to stand

Today's Bible Verse: Acts 14:21-22 After preaching the Good News in Derbe and making many disciples, Paul and Barnabas returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch of Pisidia, 22 where they strengthened the believers. They encouraged them to continue in the faith, reminding them that we must suffer many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God.

Questions to Discuss with your Child:

o What do you think the word “gospel” means? (“GOOD NEWS”)

o What do you think it means to “preach the gospel”? (Share the good news of Jesus with others)

o What is a disciple? (a follower of Jesus)

o How many disciples did they win after Paul almost died? (“a large number”) Why do you think so many people decided to follow Jesus?

o What do you think Paul meant by “hardships”? (He means “suffering” or “difficult times”)

o Why do you think followers of Jesus have to go through “hardships”? (Ultimately, we suffer at

times because we’re being like Jesus – loving others when they often don’t love us back.)
