Looking Around: Passing the Baton for the Future

Pastor Gary’s message challenges us to be intentional with the wisdom, faith, and responsibilities God has entrusted to us. Through King David’s succession crisis in 1 Kings 1, we learn that delaying leadership transitions can create confusion, while building a lasting legacy requires urgency, speaking up, and making room for the next generation. True legacy builders invest their resources, influence, and credibility into others, helping them step confidently into their calling. Following the example of Jesus, we are called to let go of the need to hold onto our own platforms and instead celebrate the success of those we lead. Ultimately, our greatest joy is not in our own accomplishments but in watching the next generation go further than we ever could.
